A month prior to the beginning of Luke Bryan’s 2017 tour, his content team asked us to pitch ideas for screen visuals on the hit song “Rollercoaster”. Following some loose brand guidelines, we presented a concept that involved beautiful top down aerial footage of waves coupled with slow motion shots at the beach.

Given the go-ahead to move forward, we directed a production team with 2 cameras and a drone at Santa Monica Pier for a day of filming. Once we were wrapped, our post team flew out to Nashville to edit on the spot and provide instant feedback during rehearsal.

Ultimately, the surreal aerial wave shots and nostalgic pier footage served as a tantalizing backdrop for hundreds of live shows around the world.
